Hey folks,
It's been a few since my last blog and I figured this would be a great opportunity to get out my two cents. Because...
Once again the Congress is hard at work screwing us. Under the guise of helping flood victims, investigating torture and possible infractions by the Bush administration the Congress snuck in two pieces of legislation that only create more problems for us and apparently an early Christmas bonanza for George Bush. He gets a $162 billion to blow on Iraq and can invade American's privacy without the worry of a lawsuit. And the telecommunication industry can do so as well! Wonderful!!
Well, they played their cards. Now it's time to show them the consequences. We need to THROW THE BUMS OUT!! 293 Represenatives voted for the FISA "Compromise"... that's one check on the list. Add those that voted for the Iraqi "Emergency" Funding Compromise and I think we have the HOT LIST of the BUMS that need to go for sure! And that's not it... there's still more, House Concurrent Resolution 362 is basically advocating that the president aggresively blockade Iran which will give Iran no choice but to fire the first shot. There is 169 co-sponsors and will effectively give George Bush a green light to War with Iran. Is that enough? Theres still more they plan to do... the new housing bill will add a fingerprint registry for those applying for mortgages and require all small businesses to report every single transaction they make. The Law of the Sea treaty which the Senate has wrested with since the 80's ( Ronald Reagan rejected it) could be up for approval. This treaty will basically give juristiction of the oceans to the UN and the power for them to tax all those who utilize them. A huge give away of our sovereignty. And that's just the tip of the iceberg they plan to pound into your and my ass. Is that enough for you to get busy? I suggest we get on it because as long as we let them get away with this... the more their going to keep taking. It's time we say ENOUGH!!!
So this November, regardless of who you vote for for President, lets agree that if they participated in Congress this year, with a few exceptions, let's VOTE THE BUMS OUT!!! And if your state and local officials are dragging their feet VOTE THOSE BUMS OUT TOO!!!
Here's my plan, find out who the incumbents are on your local ballots. Create a list that documents of all their participation in the various corrupt legislation, then a list of the incumbents. Photocopy thousands and hand them out everywhere! Tell people these are the BUMS that YOU DON"T VOTE FOR! If your friends and neighbors can collect some money make sure to run an ad in the local paper just prior to election stating very clearly we need to VOTE THE BUMS OUT!! If you and your friends can get together on writing letters to the editor, make sure to hit the editorial page as well.
It's time elected officials start listening to the people that put them in office! They either start doing things that help us out or they get sent home for good! These BUMS think we're too stupid to remember what happen in the past few years but lets make sure to they know... we know who the BUMS are!!!
Let's make sure there plenty of new faces for the 111th Congress!
