Honey, Let's NOT Get Married!
Written by Jake
June 30, 2008

Women often wonder why men don’t want to get married. Well I wonder why women would want to get married. In fact, I wonder what would possess anyone in their right minds to get involved in the act of marriage in this day in age.

Now, I don’t want to sound like a typical male trying to keep from being “tied down” (and trust me, that’s not where I’m going with this). It’s just that marriage is not the sacred, traditional symbol of love anymore. Marriage has become a chore, an expectation, and thus, a disaster. It’s not like it used to be. We’re not really seeing too many 50 year anniversaries anymore. More

We Have the Solutions and It's Time to Git 'er Done!
Written by Mike
June 29, 2008

Our country is full of apparently stupid and ignorant people and it starts at the White House. This seems to repeat itself throughout history. Societies progress and then poison themselves as they first look to benefits of new ideas and then find out the unintended consequences. There are solutions but they require action that we are not used to doing. And when considering those actions entirely, they actually don't require any more effort than what we do now, in fact, it might even be easier. We just need to get off the endless treadmill we are on and reaccess our situations. Then encourage others to do the same. More

Throw the Bums Out!!!
Written by Mike
June 22, 2008

Hey folks,

It's been a few since my last blog and I figured this would be a great opportunity to get out my two cents. Because...

Once again the Congress is hard at work screwing us. Under the guise of helping flood victims, investigating torture and possible infractions by the Bush administration the Congress snuck in two pieces of legislation that only create more problems for us and apparently an early Christmas bonanza for George Bush.  More

Debt Equals Slavery
Written by Jake
June 16, 2008

America, we are sick and we need to get better. We are addicted to money and we are addicted to credit. It is so common for people in America to be so consumed by their own consumerism that they will likely never be able to actually enjoy the possessions that they’ve bent over backwards to get. I believe that media and Hollywood has created a lifestyle that we grow up thinking we are supposed to fulfill.  More

Arguing Iraq War Fallacies
Written by Jake
June 12, 2008

So often, I hear the arguments that we need to stay in Iraq because of two major reasons. The first is that we need to fight them there so they don’t come over here. The second is that we are working to “help” the Iraq people. When I hear these arguments, I can immediately make the assumption that these individuals have been misled by the corporate media, because this is exactly what they want you to think. However, at this point, with all the information that is available, we can make a very strong and clear argument against both of these manufactured fallacies. More

Asking Questions Doesn't Make You Anti-American
Written by Jake
June 8, 2008

There is a real misconception that I’d like clear up. As I watch just about any program these days, I notice that those individuals that point any finger at the American government are instantly tagged as anti-American. Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly (just to name a few) would love to have you believe that if you raise any questions about the events of 9/11, the Iraq war, and even Katrina, then you must be against America and the troops. The Time is Now!
Written by Jake
June 1, 2008

People, we have completely allowed the government and politicians to take over too much of our lives. This is not what our forefather’s imagined for us. We have reached a certain pinnacle of disastrous policy thanks to the likes of the Bush Administration. The failures of this administration are appalling and we’ve done nothing about it. From a botched reaction to hurricane Katrina to an invasion of Iraq, we as citizens of this country have sat back and allowed these idiots represent us in such horrible fashion. When are you going to wake up? More

Lessons to learn from Scott McClellan Book and Interviews
Written by Mike
May 31, 2008

You may wanna take a look at this yourself but something he mentioned stuck in my head and I thought... a weakness! A chink in the armor!

He said the White House was "compartmentalized" Apparently very few know everything thats going on... I sincerely doubt Bush is even aware! But this is a sever weakness! Because this breeds mistrust... it may allow "plausable deniability" but shining a light on the truth unsettles everyone. Just like with McClellan their looking over each other's shoulders for the next McClellan! More

Professionalism, Effectiveness and the U.S. Military
Written by Mike
May 27, 2008

A panel recently met at the US Army Command and General Staff College in Ft. Leavenworth, KS. The discussion was on Civilian-Military Relations. The idea was to challenge military officers to think about their roles in the military in service to our country and advance the professionalism and effectiveness of our military. More

Support Our Troops!
Written by Mike
May 22, 2008

Our military members have taken an Oath to protect our constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. Help them stop our political leaders who have broken their oath and are destroying the constitution, this country's livelihood and our ability to defend our own country from real threats. More

Cowardice, Ignorance and Stupidity
Written by Mike
May 21, 2008

You know I'd love to have a courageous leaders in charge of presidency, the congress, and our military but no such luck!

Our Federal Government is overrun with one of the three above. The beauty is... there is always tomorrow and at anytime, each one of them can throw off the chains they have imposed on themselves and this country and have the courage to do the right thing! More

Do You Really Want to Know the Truth?
Written by Mike
April 6, 2008

The truth is out there if you want it. But the question is can you handle it?

Most can’t is my opinion. The truth would lead to depression, stress and why can’t we just be happy? It’s a sorry assessment of the our country that most are cowards to the Truth. What happen to the home of the Brave? It’s a hollow word and only a word for so many. More

Stand the Fuck Up!!!
Written by Mike
March 2, 2008

Hi folks,

Another week in the books. We're closing in on the Texas primary and it's becoming clear those who have the reigns are cracking the whip. How did we get to this? The two probable candidates appear to be more of the same old shit! And Americans voted for these two? I hope the media is proud of itself! More

Working Together
Written by Mike
February 23, 2008

I have been a Ron Paul fanatic for nearly a year now. It would seem that by now...I should be burned out on this idea of freedom, but the truth is...I'm just getting started. And it seems almost everyweek something new happens that gets me thinking there is a bright future ahead! More

We Love Freedom!
Written by Mike
February 16, 2008

It takes a real strength of character for an individual to embrace freedom. Because, among other things, it requires you to really think about who and what is really going on. It also asks you to be responsible for yourself and your actions. Finally, it exposes you to the realm of infinite possibilities. I admit...this all can be scary...but there's also big benefits! The Damn Media!
Written by Mike
February 9, 2008

Hello folks...

I don't know about you, but I can't even watch the news anymore! We're down to three Republican candidates and still they rarely mention Ron Paul! It's truely amazing that people aren't outraged by the censorship. Something must be done.

A little history on the media. Courtesy of Wikipedia.

Prior to 1927, public airwaves in the United States were regulated by the United States Department of Commerce and largely litigated in the courts as the growing number of stations fought for space in the burgeoning industry. More

Trouble for Our Generation?
Written by Jake
November 17, 2007

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm irritated. Let me tell you why. First of all, I'm as American as it gets. I was the all American high school athlete, I joined and served four years in the Marine Corps, and I'm currently working a 40 hour a week job and I'm soon to graduate college. I'm 24 years old and I'm doing the things that you're supposed to do to eventually live that American dream. As a matter of fact, that is the American dream. I'm doing the things that I want to do and I am doing it freely. However, I can't help but feel trouble on the horizon for me and my peers. Throughout this year, I've become much more invested in politics and the government in this country. Unfortunately, the deeper I've looked, the sicker I feel. Between war, the economy, and our immigration issues, I can't help but feel like the teapot is whistling. Just take a minute and hear me out. More

MEMBERS: A CALL TO ACTION!!!
Written by Mike
November 14, 2007

We need to get it in gear. As a member of the Pensacola Meetup I, like many, have relied on the few to carry this group...but it's time for each of us to make the small sacrifices necessary to push the movement to critical mass. And for me, I am number one, I pledge to be there! I am going to be the minuteman...ready to do what it takes!

The Ron Paul movement has made many strides online and with fundraising so far, I have no doubt there will be more victories ahead. But we need to convert this movement to 'boots on the ground' so to speak, by getting out and raising the ante once again. We need to play our part in the Revolution. The Pensacola Ron Paul Revolution! More
